If you’re a senior who has been putting off scholarship applications, or are still looking for more funding, it’s not too late to apply for scholarships!   1. Charles Shelton Veterinarian Medicine/Technology Scholarship Award Amount: $12000 Deadline: 4/15/2019 This non-profit organization’s mission is to provide educational scholarships to African-American students pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine or veterinary technology. Scholarships are awarded to individuals who have demonstrated an interest and commitment to animal welfare. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be aa African-American graduating high school seniors, current college students or returning college student. Please also provide two professional references from Professors that speak directly to your experience in Veterinary Medicine or Technology.   2. CSF Fiesta Queen Scholarship and Pageant Award Amount: $2,500 Deadline: 5/3/2019 If you’re a female Colorado resident between the ages of 18-22, of Hispanic descent, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and are interested in scholarship money for the Colorado institution of higher learning of your choice, the CSF Fiesta Committee invites you to compete in the Colorado State Fair (CSF) Fiesta Pageant. The CSF Fiesta Committee will award a grand prize scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to the Fiesta Queen, $1,500 to her first attendant, $1,250 to her second attendant, and $1,000 to her third attendant. The awards will be payable to any Colorado institution of higher learning, upon proof of full-time enrollment. Recipients have two (2) years from the upcoming fall semester to use the award. The chosen Fiesta Queen will be assisted in her educational endeavors, as well as the unique opportunity to represent the Hispanic culture throughout the state of Colorado.   3. CHCC CAPS Young Professionals Scholarship Program Award Amount: $3,000 Deadline: 6/15/2019 This scholarship provides an all-expenses paid intensive half-week of training to college and university students of Hispanic descent. The program is designed to build real-world skills for young professionals, such as interview skills, etiquette for professional gatherings, and learning about optimizing personal strengths. The Pickard Scholarship Fund Award Amount: $4,000 Deadline: 5/31/2019 The Pickard Scholarship Fund was established at The Dallas Foundation to assist African-American male students in Dallas County. Applicants must be African-American male students graduating from high schools in Dallas County. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Preference may be given to those who can demonstrate financial need. Personal interviews may be required. Renewals are not automatic, but students are encouraged to reapply for up to four years if they maintain at least a 12-hour class load and a 2.5 GPA while enrolled under the scholarship, and submit supporting documentation to The Dallas Foundation.   5. ESA Foundation Scholarship Program for Minority Students Award Amount: $3,000 Deadline: 5/4/2019 The ESA Foundation scholarships are offered for full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year colleges and universities in the USA. Up to 30 scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded annually, 15 to graduating high school seniors and 15 to current college students. Women and minority students are eligible to apply, so long as they are U.S. citizens and have a minimum 2.75 GPA.
