  1. DAVILA/TREVINO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Award Amount: $1,000 Deadline: 4/30/2019 These scholarships, sponsored by the Davila and Trevino families in memory of David Davila and Joe Trevino, are awarded to undergraduate students attending a 4-year college/ university in Texas. This scholarship has been awarded since 2013. Applicants must: 1. be a junior or senior attending a 4-year university in the U.S. 2. major in engineering. 3. have a minimum 3.0 GPA. 4. and be a U.S. Citizen.   2. CBC SPOUSES EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP Award Amount: $8,200 Deadline: 5/18/2019 The CBC Spouses Education Scholarship was established in 1988 by the spouses of Congressional Black Caucus members in response to federal cuts in spending for education programs and scholarships, which disproportionately affect people of color. This opportunity awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated African-American or Black students pursuing an associates, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees in Political Science, Public Policy, Public-Administration, International Relations, Public Affairs, Mass communications, African-American Studies, Legislative Affairs, Pre-Law, Criminal Justice, American History and/or Juris Doctor. Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited academic institution, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.   3. ANNIE S. ALEXANDER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Award Amount: $1,800 Deadline: 4/1/2019 The Annie S. Alexander Memorial Scholarship provides non-renewable awards for students who will pursue or are pursuing full-time undergraduate nursing degrees from accredited post-secondary institutions. Preference will be given to African-American students from Forsyth County. Scholarships will be applied to cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, room and board, and other college expenses. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required for high school seniors or college students who are residents of Forsyth County, NC and are pursuing an undergraduate nursing degree. BROWN AND CALDWELL MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Award Amount: $5,000.00 Deadline: 4/15/2019 Brown and Caldwell is an organization that offers a $5,000 Minority Scholarship to support students who identify as minorities and are interested in pursuing a career in the environmental profession. Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a full-time student enrolled in his/her junior, senior year or graduate program at an accredited college/university and have a declared major in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. biology, geology, hydro-geology, ecology). Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale) and must be a minority (e.g. African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific American or Alaska Native). BLM SQUARED SCHOLARSHIP Award Amount: $1,000 Deadline: 7/3/2019 The BLM Squared Scholarship Foundation program is designed to address the financial needs of minority college students and award outstanding high school graduates who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from an accredited, four-year college or university with financial assistance: Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents. Scholarships are to be utilized at an institution of higher learning and applicants must be a minority graduating high school senior in the year of the award. Applicant must hold a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be enrolled as a full-time student during the fall academic semester.
